Reishi powder: powder obtained by pulverizing dry Ganoderma lucidum fruiting bodies.
Reishi spore powder: It is the spores ejected from the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum, that is, the reproductive cells of Ganoderma lucidum.
Broken spore Reishi powder: the powder obtained by breaking the spore powder by physical shearing at low temperature.
1. Color distinction
Reishi powder: light brown or khaki.
Reishi spore powder: light brown.
Broken spore Reishi powder: dark brown or sauce brown powder, fine, no graininess, no clumping. Gently rub it with your mother and index fingers, it will have a smooth and delicate feeling, no adhesion, no foreign body feeling such as grit, this is pure broken wall spore powder.
2. Distinguish with a microscope
Reishi spore powder: Microscopically observed spores are oval, and a single Ganoderma lucidum spore is only 4-6 microns. If there is a microscope, randomly take a small amount of Ganoderma lucidum spore powder sample and observe it under a microscope (magnified to more than 600 times), and you can clearly see the oval spores without any other shape, that is, pure spore powder.
Reishi powder: observed under a microscope into thin strips, much larger than Ganoderma lucidum spore powder, about 10-20 times the size,
Broken Ganoderma lucidum spore powder: under the microscope, it is yellow-brown translucent irregular fragments, of different sizes and irregular edges.
3. Taste distinction
Reishi powder: bitter taste.
Reishi spore powder: slightly bitter. No bitterness after rinsing.
Broken Ganoderma lucidum spore powder: not bitter, with oily substance on the surface of the water, clear fragrance and silky taste.
